no you should leave them as is. they are supposed to be in .rar form in \kitchens directory where Updater puts them.

Can anyone tell me if this kitchen can be used to customize a stock sprint TP2 rom and if so how do I go about doing it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes it supports the TP2. you will need to run Updater and grab the files for RhodiumW under the ROM Kitchens section.

Thanks for responding, but can I, and how do I use it to make changes to a stock TP2 Rom ie. take out or add programs.
Also I just noticed when I opened BuildOS it dose't have a selection for carrier like in the screen shot and I did the update. Did I miss something? Last edited by dlgipson; 02-08-2010 at 02:21 PM. |

you probably got the rhodium files and not the rhodiumW files like i said. you cant use ppckitchen to modify a stock rom though, its only for building custom roms for the device. I'm assuming your device is unlocked with a custom bootloader already also.

Didn't know i needed to update that one, my phone is unlocked I'm currently running MalRom1.5 and I like it, just wanted to try to mod a stock one. But on a good note I just finnished my first custom Rom. I don't if it works yet but I'm gonna give a try and see how things go. thanks for your help.
Edit: Maybe I should trash this one and cook a Rom with the carrier, don't want to run in to problems. Last edited by dlgipson; 02-09-2010 at 03:00 AM. |

Yes the Rhodium files are for the gsm version of the device, for like AT&T, so they dont need the carrier setup due to using the SIM card for that.
The RhodiumW files are for the cdma version such as sprint and verizon. so not a good idea to flash a gsm rom to a cdma device. |

Well since you're still up how do I mod a custom rom for example MelRom so I can add apps to it that I like and take out some that I don't use?
and I just got an error message while building a Rom "Object reference not set instance of an object" what did I do wrong now? |

For that error, make sure you have a splash screen selected for all the splash options at the top. We thought that bug had been fixed but its starting to look like it might still be an issue.
As far as modding whatever a MelRom is...you'd have to ask him how he built it, using BuildOS in PPCKitchen or another kitchen to do it. If ppck he might let you have his selections or project file, then its just a matter of adjusting that to suit your tastes. |
